intermission

everything on this 'blog' is more or less outdated. now that i have found a possible solution   resp. missing link   in the context of the most relevant blog  post , i am no longer interested in communicating or publishing anything. this is just an inevitable consequence. nevertheless, the journey is incomplete without re-entry and integration. i will continue without any 'artificial' effort and as soon as the 'MPT algorithm' is 'finished,' i will archive the resulting paper for future generations of 'funda-mentals' and/or other potential intelligences.

mirror

since most of humanity has failed ... to improve and understand itself , we need the very p rocess of creating our own artificial people , so that we can learn more about ourselves than e ver before. this process functions like a near-perfect mirror; only two can play this game. note that there are three different contexts in which this statement can be interpreted without contradicting each other. please interpret accordingly.

AU

this post was  outdated. t he sheer complexity of the updated 'algorithm' i am working on offline is inversely proportional to the simplicity of the outcome it aims to reveal. let there be a  hiatus . until then: irrelevant  puzzle .

shut up

the pioneers of quantum mechanics were self-critical. today, we have adopted a 'shut up and calculate' mentality. just because 'it works' does not mean it is consistent. all these bugs will eventually cause the kernel to panic. thus, some spooky aspects of QM will become obsolete as progress continues and inconsistent beliefs are rendered use-less.

zero sci-fi

the statement 'photons experience the entirety of their journey through space in literally no time' is a very popular one, but it is also misleading. in the context of special relativity, the speed of light is invariant, meaning that it is the same for all observers regardless of their frame of reference. if there were a frame of reference in which light was at rest, then the speed of light would be different in various frames of reference, which would contradict the principle of the invariance of the speed of light. in other words, special relativity would be completely thrown out. conclusion: a frame of reference that has zero spatial width and zero temporal duration is a physically impossible frame of reference. so, while it is interesting 'to think about' what it might 'be' like 'to be a photon,' the truth is that there is nothing 'like that.' now apply this metaphor to thomas nagel's 'bats.'
